A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and with a postgraduate degree in Land Use Planning, Urban Planning and Environmental Law from CEDOUA at the University of Coimbra, he is a lawyer since 2003.

 

He began his career at the law firm Henrique Abecasis & Andresen Guimarães, having completed an internship in Paris at the law firm Ader, Jolibois et Associés.

 

Between 2006 and 2016, he was an in-house lawyer at INTERGAUP, where he led licensing and legalisation processes throughout the country.

In 2016, he set up his own law firm in Lisbon, advising national and international clients on matters relating to land use planning, urban planning and real estate law, including tourism projects and urban taxation issues.

Between 2017 and 2019, he was part of the multidisciplinary think tank Build the City, co-organising with Charles Landry (British urban planner) the international conferences The Lisbon Seminar and Cities under Pressure, which aimed to discuss and find solutions to problems such as housing and mobility in cities such as Lisbon and other European capitals.

 

He has taught courses and webinars in his areas of expertise.

 

Author of articles in Revista de Direito Local, he combines law with writing, having published books of essays and fiction.
