A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, she began her career in 1976 at the National Housing Development Fund.
She practised law independently between 1985 and 2008, advising various municipal councils and private clients on the elaboration of municipal master plans, urbanisation plans and detailed plans, as well as teaching courses on urban planning and land use law.
In 2008, she joined Abreu Advogados and, in 2011, she founded Pares Advogados, where she worked as a partner until 2022.
She has consolidated experience in land planning, urban planning and real estate, with an emphasis on large urban operations, tourism projects and urbanisation contracts with administrative entities.
In 2024, she was distinguished by the international directory Chambers and Partners as Senior Spokesperson in Urban Planning Law in Portugal.
